About DAESI
The Diploma in Agricultural Extension Services for Input Dealers (DAESI) is a one-year part-time diploma program designed to enhance the technical knowledge and advisory skills of agri-input dealers. Implemented by institutions like SAMETI, KVKs, and Agricultural Universities under the guidance of MANAGE and the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, the course empowers dealers to function as para-extension professionals.
The DAESI program was established in 2003 by MANAGE (National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management), Hyderabad, under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India.
DAESI equips participants with essential knowledge in crop production, soil health, plant protection, fertilizer usage, and government agricultural schemes. With weekend or evening classes tailored for working professionals, the program supports dealers in offering informed guidance to farmers, ultimately strengthening grassroots agricultural extension services.
